Went out with roxanne, valerie, vanessa and siying today to get contact lenses as well as to buy our yellow shirt for the orientation :) I forgot to bring david's card for lamination T.T

Met up with all of them at toa payoh interchange at 12noon. Valerie went to popular to look for stuff. Then came siying and valerie returned x) Proceeded to giordano to see if there were any yellow or lime green shirts (lime green is vanessa's group colour) but they didn't have so we went for lunch at koufu. Ate oriental rice :)

Talked and talked :D It was great fun okay! x) Then we went to popular altogether and i bought erasers, 2 to be exact :D Then we headed to the contact lens place. Valerie brought us there. Arrived at the place and we tested our eyes to see if our degree has changed. The lady said mine increased by a bit but it was quite all right. So she passed us each a set of contacts to try. Yeah, we needed to learn to put in and take out.

Roxanne was damn fast! She easily put in the contacts within 20 minutes or so, then she was taking it out and putting it in cause she said her right eye's one was painful for her. I was still struggling to keep my eyes opened x) But i know why it was difficult for me, cause i had sweaty hands :( It was especially inconvenient when i was trying to remove the contacts.

Anyway, another lady in black came to help me. She sounded impatient, like she was pissed cause i couldnt put it in x) Well, thanks to my sweaty hands, my eyelids kept closing, slipping past my finger 'barrier', i couldnt help it. Then she thought i didnt hold my eye lids properly :/ So she sounded impatient and all xD Roxanne was happily putting in her 2nd one while i was still on my first x) Then it finally got in, though i'm afraid that i havent exactly learnt how to put it in properly yet, want to try it again! Need assurance that i can do it :D

But honestly, you start getting used to touching your friggin eyeballs after awhile~ so its all right now :) So yes, i managed to put in and take out :) Then we went off for dinner. I think we went into the shop at about 3pm+ and came out at 5pm+ And with all the admin and eye testing which took some time, plus and minus, i think we both completed our "course" in an hour or so~ :D

Headed to swensons for dinner. We originally only wanted to have ice cream but since it was 5pm+ we decided to have our dinner as well x) Ate sourdough 49ers chicken sandwich or something, i forgot the exact name x) Was really bloated at the end but i could still fit some ice cream :) It's always like this, even though im full, i can still fit in water or ice cream, as long as its liquid xD

Talked during dinner again :D Vanessa had to leave cause she has dinner at home. The rest of us continued eating. Roxanne, Siying and i ordered topless 5 and we picked the flavours : orange sherbert, lime sherbert, sticky chocolate, frozen malt (or something) and mocha :) while valerie ate her own sticky choco mix plus melted marshmallows x) We called for the bill and i must say, we're getting better at settling bills x) The process is much quicker than before :D

Then we all went on our separate ways home.

The contact lenses were really high definition man! Everything was like watching the HD channel on television xD and amazingly, the lenses didnt irritate my eyes, i don't feel uncomfortable wearing them, well maybe just a bit funny sometimes.

Immediately took it out once i reached home cause i think it was getting a little dry and stuff :) It was so MUCH easier to take out! Maybe cause my hands weren't as sweaty as before, thats why it managed to maintain a grip on the lenses and i just pinched a bit and it folded and came out :D

I went to try how tough the lenses are and guess what, they really are tough! I tried tearing it into 2, expecting it to just split into half easily. But no, in fact, it was pretty strong. It snapped into 2 when i pulled it from both sides, it even made like a 'snap!' sound x) It needed some strength to tear apart, so it is strong x)

But in the end, i think i wouldn't wear it everyday, just maybe when i don't feel like wearing glasses and still need good vision :D
