the first O level subject

actually, it sounds like an illusion talking about the o levels. but i cant believe its next monday. thats right, its chinese. according to the higher chinese, the paper will be easy. but they are higher chinese people, so easy for them could be hard for us or something. its in fact too late to prepare for anything right now. even if i could memorise a whole list of proverbs and idioms, i might not be able to apply them well in times of the exam.

after the briefing, i realised that the procedure during an o level examination is quite troublesome. something about sticking some sticker with some bar code onto some paper, then put the other half on the top right hand corner of the table. but the fact that your answers would be written in an examination booklet is quite cool. at least there is no stress of seeing people around you continuously taking more paper to write on.

but i guess its pretty demoralising to see so many pieces of provided paper. i guess i always feel like ive got to almost deplete these writting materials. well, i just hope i dont see the amount of thing the other people write, whch would probably further stress me out during the exam.

i hope i can think flexibly on that day. able to give a variety of sentences to the markers :/ but how much profound can my basic chinese become? i just want an A so i dont have to redo another o levels chinese at the end of the year. not only am i wasting my time doing a second paper, im wasting money in buying another paper. though they all say the november paper is easier than the may's, i cant afford to waste time!

seeing the people around me with their superb chinese writing skills, i already feel quite depressed. sometimes laoshi reads their essays out, theyre always better than mine. concise, easy to understand passages and the use of language is smooth as well. sigh, i wish i could write that like. well, it is too late to do anything. i guess i can only cross my fingers on the paper my results now.

i really wonder about the chinese standards.. i hope i can do well. hate paper2, i always fail to score high marks on that.

ij fiesta

was absolutely tiring! the day started with spirit day celebration in the parade square. first we watched the councillors' performance, quite silly but funny to watch i would say xD learnt a few IJ cheers. then we were told to decorate a part of the school as part of the celebration. so yes, we all headed to our assigned area and started dcorating the place.

i thought our class' decoration seemed a bit scary xD we threaded about 4 pinafores through the cloth the councillors gave. we blew up the blue balloons and stuck it as the head to the uniforms. the faces were drawn onto the balloons. and the end product looked as if the 4 people got hanged or something xD well its creative, haha!

i didnt really play any games on that day, just merely walked around the school to take a look at what stalls had been set up as well to buy some stuff. oh! we bought the IJ foldable umbrella! well, it is our last year, and an umbrella's all that i need right now :D but i doubt i'll use it, its too precious xD

bought a badge with this cartoon ij girl on it. we wanted to queue for the haunted house, but my shift was going to start soon unfortunately :( so i didnt go there in the end. but some people did.

and my stall shift started soon after. so i went to the prawn mee stall and stood there for about 2hours plus. i actually broke my standing record xD i guess it was quite fun serving the noodles, asking for orders, collecting money and all.

my shift stretched from 11.45am til 2pm. i even went there 15 minutes earlier! sigh. i guess it was kind of unfair. the people after 2pm didnt even have to stay back or anything since the noodles were sold out around the time my shift ended :( so the people actually got the whole day to spend in the fiesta while the people who had shifts had to do their shifts! so unfair :( and by the time my shift ended, there wasnt much food left in our stalls either :( and i couldnt spend my money on food.

the fiesta was more like a day when we were actually trying to finish spending our money xD quite smart of them to use the coupon idea. anyway! we finally left the school at 3pm after depleting all our coupons. the sun was scorching hot! i say, the weather was too good :/

well! i guess the day went well :D i might consider coming back to the next year's fiesta xD

valerie the bizarre?

well! cant believe i actually had an exam in the morning of the organised melissa's birthday celebration day xD i apologise if my sentences seem odd, cause the music i am currently listening to just takes up a bit of my concentration :D

anyway! i guess chemistry SPA skill 3 was the first paper that i had time to look back and check what ive written for about 5 times or more. i hope it went well.

zooming into the journey to melissa's house. vanessa weiting roxanne valerie and i were supposed to meet at toa payoh bus interchange. right, so as per normal, most of the people were late xD so roxanne and i decided to pay a visit to comics connection and on the way back collect melissa's tiramisu cake.

well yes, not so much of the excitement yet. so, we went to the cake shop to collect the cake and met up with weiting and vanessa, then walked down to the mrt.

right, we were kind of discussing about melissa's birthday present. and just then! valerie, with the cake, dashed for the mrt exit (the tap card exit). we just stood rooted for a second and went "what?". oh who in the right mind wouldnt? xD

weiting thought she had said the taboo word "precious moments" or something (well perhaps it was too expensive for valerie or something?). we chased after that silly valerie (yes, she had the cake!), shouting at her, yelling her name across the entire mrt station and everyone stared at us. quite embarrassing you see!

and i thought valerie was merely joking? she seriously tapped her card and went out of the mrt! our jaws literally dropped! we couldnt go out and hence decided to wait for that oddball to come back. well vanessa did say that valerie had requested we wait for her.

we tried to contact her through her mobile phone but she kept rejecting our calls. worse, she turned off her freaking phone?! we just stood there in confusion? i mean, how rash can she get?? well, we were both amused and angry!

well we met up with her again at bishan, cause apparently we told her we were already there. scolded the shit out of her! xD in times like these, you just cant help using words like these :D she should be happy that she has such patient and tolerant friend! :)

oh yes while waiting for our dear valerie, we were talking about whether she'll behave like this when she has a boyfriend. and imagine she suddenly walk away, with her phone switched off while in the mrt station with her boyfriend. quite funny to think about it. perhaps her boyfriend might jump over the fence to chase her, ah how sweet! xD

anyway, we were an hour behind schedule when we had arrived at melissa's house xD and whose fault is it?

well it was quite a relaxing day! watched movie at melissa's house, had the cake and dinner. oh frozen grapes are indeed very nice! i think i might start investing in them. melissa's house is really very cooling and windy. she practically has this 270 degrees view just in one corner of her house.

well! i had a good time! at least i was able to put my mind off the fact that i think im going to fail my midyears (which i dont want to) :(

you can say its over

well for now. had my physics paper today. im not exactly sure whether it went well or not. for instance, i was having a terrible stomachache almost throughout the entire examination! i had goosebumps all over my hands and the pain kept coming and going - in a cycle. so annoying! just went i thought it was permanently gone, it comes back after 10 seconds or so. couldnt even concentrate on the paper!

then i finally pulled up the courage and decided to ask to be excused. i was initially having an internet debate - whether i should waste the 10minutes going to the washroom or tolerate as much as i can til after the exams. but i decided to rush to the washroom right after ive completed all the questions i knew how to do.

well yes, i did visit the washroom and came to find out that it was 10minutes before the end of the paper. so i rushed through all the questions that i dont know how to do. cant believe i left the vector diagram thing blank! well, i did draw 2 lines, a pathetic 2 lines. i didnt even have the time to randomly draw a few lines to make my paper look prettier xD

left one wave question blank, didnt even understand what it was asking. and as for some of the questions that i previously did not know how to do, im not sure if i had read those questions properly and written the right stuff. come to think of it, it feels as if i was just subconsciously doing the sums, oh dear :(

well! theres still chemistry SPA skill three test tmr, but i guess it wouldnt be too hard now, would it? i definitely hope not.

anyway, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY MELISSA!

ps. i was quite excited for today, i didnt know why. couldnt even sleep properly last night. maybe cause today was the last major paper :D

oh my, ryan presley is a good singer! xD

i screwed my first half of the midyears

i am so dead! firstly, my chinese was a failure, then followed english and now, my ss, e maths and chemistry! i am so dead!

its quite annoying. i seem to be trapped in the hare and the turtle fairytale! i kept thinking theres still a lot of time left. after rushing into the first half of the paper, i started to decelerate at a rapid pace towards the last few questions and i find myself struggling with the fact that i dont have time to complete the paper and check back!

i screwed my e maths graph. one of the easiest component to earn marks in! i threw 10marks away! urghs! i drew my points 10 squares down when its supposed to be 10 squares, so now i totally threw away 10 answer marks for the question! what a horrible waste!

my horrible chemistry, i thought i had a lot of time left to do my remaining questions. but i ended up wasting so much time thinking about the solubility of calcium sulphate that i realise ive only got 20minutes left to do the last question, which was obviously not enough cause i still have to go back and check my work. additionally! i didnt study the air chapter in detail. and i mean detail, like i actually had to know what were the equations of the convertion of the content in a catalytic converter?

i threw a 5 mark question away cause they were all about the air chapter. the stuff i learnt about air didnt even come out, sheesh.

i just hope i can still get my distinctions :(

cant be bothered to study my geography and history. its quite ridiculous that they put both heavy content subjects on the same day! well, this is equivalent to last year's chinese paper2, chemistry and then history. all horrible subjects!

and on a random note, ryan presley's voice is totally cool! i agree with you melissa, phillip childer is a good singer too. gahh love them all! <3
