the ulcer lives!

i have had this ulcer under the tongue for days and it has yet to recover! this is uber annoying! everytime i swing my tongue, i can feel a strange but tiny tingle around the area of the ulcer. it doesnt seem to get any better. how terrible! i should apply some more medication later.

yes! went to help out in a childcare on monday. well, i wouldnt say it was boring? at least it beats talking to old people at the old folks' homes all day, oops. valerie and i stayed in the 1 to 2 years old class while vanessa, jacqueline and zhixin went to the older class which consist of children of age 3 to 4 or so. i thought it was rather fun! haha. the children were drawing spiders when we first arrived. it was hard to start a conversation with them but as time passed we got used to it. mathew sat on my lap while they were singing songs which seemed like an everyday routine. valerie was busy hi five-ing john.

before lunch time, everybody had to wash their hands. mathew wanted me to follow him to the washroom, that was so cute! haha. also, he gave me a honeystar xD then it was this 'dance exercise' time? they went into this airconditioned room and the teachers turned on some CDs and the children just danced to it with the teachers. valerie was busy singing all the barney songs! goodness, i dont even remember all these things even if i watched them many years ago? haha! then we entertained them the children to the storybooks and it was nap time! we went out of the room and met up with the rest of the group. then we settled down and started talking. well, i had to leave early cause i had a dental appointment like 3pm. i think we're going on thursday again. so fun! i think its much better than collecting cip hours through flagday xD

then i went out again yesterday, to watch the golden compass with dora, laycheng and xinhui! xinhui was disappointed as many parts in the book which she had read were not shown in the movie. well, it was pretty obvious that there would be a golden compass part 2 or something. i wouldnt say the movie was boring, but it felt long and rather tiring. the fighting was cool though :D xinhui and i still had popcorn left! and both of us were too sick of it and decided to throw it away.

had lunch at mcdonalds after the movie. everybody felt quite full. then we accompanied laycheng to christofori where she would have her violin lesson. i wanted to learn violin too! then she found out that her teacher was on MC! what a waste, she had brought her violin a long way! hah. we went on to the arcade. we had a game of bishi bashi! we were 4 games away from the end! urghs what a waste :( laycheng and xinhui went on to the basketball machine. they were making 5s and 6s. dora and i just watched them from the corner.

then we had a game of photofind! i think we were a bit crazy. we tried the adult version, but we died soon after the start of the game haha. then we went on to the teens version. the pictures were awfully cute and a handful of them were quite simple, like obvious cartoons (what do these game creators think teenagers are? kids? xD). we completed all 10 stages and we decided to go for a top score. we tried about 3 times trying to beat the high score. but we failed in the end. we were so close to it though! we were so desperate, that we split the picture into 4 columns and each one of us took one to cover more 'ground' efficiently xD but those real pictures pulled us down. so annoying!

well the day was swift! and we all went on our own ways, home. i want to play laycheng's violin! :D
